✏️ Do You Believe that Money Changes People? | #MAKINGCENTS

Save the calmest for last...isn't that what they say, Reader?

The #makecents series is nearly finished and hopefully we have provided all of you with the proper resources to ace this back-to-school season! Before we end the series, we have one more money personality to share – The Money Monk!

Money Monks live by the zen "Money Changes People" mantra! Other money monks you may be familiar with include:

Max Mayfield from "Stranger Things"

🚲👾🧇

Mr. Johnson from "Abbott Elementary"

📚🍎✏️

Though "money changes people" may seem like a guarded and cautious way of thinking...

Money Monks are often very people-oriented and community-driven! This back-to-school season, Money Monks are represented by the reliable, school-bus-yellow, No. 2 PENCIL ✏️

During this season, Money Monks take a laid-back approach that includes:

• Volunteering in their community’s annual back-to-school bash

• Giving the best advice to students preparing to start a new grade

• Sacrificing their pay if that means money can be reallocated to teachers and students that are in need of supplies

Money Monks and Practicality

Money Monks tend to be a light in their community, however this may lead to them forgetting about themselves. Whether a parent prioritizing your children or a teacher prioritizing your students, remember that you can only show up as your best self if you prioritize self-care! This looks like:

✏️ Avoiding feeling overwhelmed with all your tasks by keeping track of your responsibilities with a planner

✏️ Asking for help when you need it and when it is offered

✏️ Investing in your goals now so you won’t have to stretch yourself so thin later

That’s a wrap on the #makecents series!

We hope that all money makers learned more about their money personality (or personalities if you find yourself leaning towards more than one).
